The conclusion

Christmas Eve Day everyone’s parents were busy with shopping, wrapping, cooking.  Tom, Mark, John, and Sasha were not interested in those kid of things, but they did like playing basketball.  They all met at the court at 10AM so they could play a bit before the family called them home. It was almost 30 minutes that they had been playing when they saw the jets fly over their heads towards the old base.
Sasha immediately yelled, “Let’s go! This could be fun!” She ran off to her bike and jumped on it.  Looking over her shoulders she looked at the boys and said impatiently, “Are you coming or what?”
The three boys got on their bikes and followed Sasha over to the base.  When they got nearby they parked their bikes in some bushes and covered them up good.  At the entrance they could see many trucks going in the base and jets were landing in turn onto the small air field.  They snuck down to the fencing and saw the fence was electrified and had cameras watching the perimeter of the base.  They needed to get in there.
Then Tom saw that a camera was out down about 10 yards.  They crawled under the brush over to that point and saw that there was an area that had been cut out of the fence big enough for them to crawl under. Mark didn’t even hesitate, a bit crawled under the fence without touching it. The other three followed suit! They all ran low and stayed behind buildings and vehicles until they got to the building where all the activity was going on.  There was a side door, but there was no way they could get inside.
Then Tom whispered, ‘Look!”  I need to see what or who is in that truck coming from the jet to this building.”
“Well how are you going to do that?” asked John.
Sasha responded, “Follow me.”
Off she went creeping in the long grass to get a closer look.  When the all followed her, they could see that there was an empty portable building that would give them cover.  Nobody was using it.
John peeped around the corner and yelled, “Oh my God!”
The others looked too and their eyes and mouths couldn’t get any more open. What they all saw was a box getting carried out of the truck that came from the jet.  The box was shinny and glimmered like it was made from some metal not found on this earth.  Everyone was in suits, masks, and the works.  They were acting like it was radioactive or a chemical weapon of something!
The friends said on the ground next to the building where they could not be seen.  Mark said, “This must be from another world!
Sasha said, “No, I think it is a treasure found from the other side of the world.”
Tom added, “It is a new kind of weapon that the scientists developed.  They are going to test it on our town!’
John shook his head, “In a way you are all right, but so very wrong.  It is from another world – God’s world.  It is a treasure, because it has supernatural powers! It is a weapon, but not what you all are thinking.  Look at the box.  It has inscriptions of the Ten Commandments, of the trails of Jesus, and of the four spirit beings that are to come at the end of our world.  Do you see that it also has a light symbol coming from the sky!  That is the second coming of Christ!  Don’t you get it?  Are you ready?”
But John”, Sasha said, “The Bible never talks about a box like this! You have it all wrong.”
John responded, “I know the Bible never talks about a box like this, but men do what they think is the right thing.  And these men are convinced that whatever they have will fight the terrorists and Satan.  They want to make Christ come back to fight for us!”
Ok, then how did they manage to get such a box and bring it here?” asked Mark.
Before anyone could respond the sky got really dark and a light shown.  The noise sounded and Tom got that feeling again. As they all were looking upward, the solders found them. They were all taken toward a different building and John calmly said, “This is not the time.  You all have it wrong.  It is time when God says it is time.”
John then just disappeared. Some of the soldiers disappeared too. The others took there opportunity to go back out the way they came and jump on their bikes.  They paused for a second looking at John’s bike.  Then off they went.
Tom let everyone to his house. He ran into his house to speak to his Aunt, but she was gone.  Her tea was hot, the TV was on, and her blanket lay on her chair.  Tom saw a note on the table by her chair.
The note said, “Tom I asked you if you were ready.  But God told me that you are to learn and lead others during the difficult times that lay ahead.  I am fine.  You must be diligent and study the Bible carefully before they take it away. This is the beginning.  Get ready fast, my young man.  I know that your life will be hard and completely unexpected, but I also know that I will see you on the other side.  The Lord God is with you.”
Sasha, Mark, and Tom just dropped in a chair and put their heads in their hands.  The Tom spoke up, “She was not just an old lady.  Aunt Mae and John knew and were ready.  I didn’t take them seriously.  Now I have a job to do. “
Sasha and Mark just got up without a word and left the house, leaving Tom alone with his thoughts. A small light shown through the ceiling and light up Tom’s being. It only lasted a second and then it was gone. Tom’s sisters came down from upstairs and asked, “What happened to Aunt Mae and Mom?”
Tom’s Dad walked in the front door and said, “There are a few people from all over the world that have just disappeared. Are you all right?”
Tom told his Dad that his friend John, Aunt Mae, and Mom were all gone. His father started to cry.  Tom went over to his sisters and Dad and they hugged. Tom said, “It will be alright, we were not ready, but we are going to get ready and see this to the end. We just have to pay attention to the world; seeing it with spiritual eyes. There are not more chances left. We must get and stay ready no matter what.”
One of Tom’s sisters asked, “Ready for what?”
Tom relied, “For the change that the world must go through to oust Satan and welcome our God with open arms, no matter what it takes.  We will be persecuted, but we will know the end of the story. We must stay faithful. We must stay faithful. What a special Christmas this is.”

What is wrong and what is right

A week or so had passed.  Tom, John, Sasha, and Mark had walked back and forth from school and talked from time to time, but never about the feelings or the noise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was Friday now and the whole weekend was before them.  It was cold out but clear and crisp.  Great weather to play ball.  Tom, John, Mark, and Sasha agreed to meet at the basketball courts at school Saturday morning at 9AM.  Right now, Tom went home to a dollar store with John to buy his family some Christmas presents. As they got to the store they split up doing their own shopping.  Sisters, Tom thought, I have to buy for my sisters.  He went in the hair and makeup section. Picking out some things he turned the corner to get something for his parents and heard a group of three girls talking. Tom stepped back so he would not be seen.  The conversation went like this.

Girl with blue sweater “Well I heard my parent talking about a military installation being opened up again over on route 102.  It was the old base from World War II.  I wonder why they are opening it up.”

Girl with the brown boots, “You remember all the talk a week ago about some strange kind of feeling and a weird noise some people heard? I think it has to do with that.  There is something going on that they are not telling us!”

Girl with the blond bangs, “It just doesn’t make sense. What kind of “feeling” could produce such a reaction?  I don’t think one thing has to do with the other, but I did over hear something myself.”

Girl with brown boots, “Ok mystery girl with the answers, what did you hear?”

Girl with the blond bangs, “I heard some police men talking on the street.  They were whispering, but didn’t see that I was right there behind the tree.”

Girl with blue sweater, “So what did they say. ‘Nice day today, isn’t it?”

“No, that is not what they said silly.” girl with blond bangs retorted, “They were talking about that if things get anymore intense they were going to get their families out of town for the holidays.”

“That is the word they used, intense?” asked the girl with the blue sweater.

“Oh yes, they sure did, the world was intense.  No doubt about it, that was the word they used.” Clarified the girl with the blond bags.

“Does anyone know someone who actually heard those noises? Asked the girl with the brown boots.

“I felt the feelings and know people who heard the noise at the same exact time.” It was Tom coming around the corner. “My friends and I were talking about the Bible, and Satan, and aliens from space.  We couldn’t come up with an explanation. My aunt felt the feelings too!”

What kind of Bible Satan story are you talking about?” inquired the girl with the blue sweater, “What does that have to do with opening up a base?”

“I don’t know but here is my friend. Hey John come over hear a minute, would yaw?” Tom motioned John to join the group.

John came over and said hi, with his eyes looking at the floor.  “What do you want Tom?”

“I want you to tell these girls your theory about the Bible and the noises and feelings.” Tom requested.

The girls chimed in together, “Please give us you theory.  We are hearing all kinds of things that don’t make sense and the army is opening up that old base on route 102.  It is all very hush, hush.”

Just then Mark walked into the store and overheard the girls, “Really, you want to hear that rubbish. Did you hear they are opening the old World War II army base?  I bet that they are doing experiments there and need the army to guard whatever they are doing.  That is where the noise came from and the noise was supersonic.  That’s what caused the feelings! Part of the noise that was so high that it caused some people to hear something and others did not hear a thing! Well that’s what I think.”

Tom interjected, “We were just asking John to explain his point of view.  Everyone this is Mark.  Now John tell us all what you said last week when we were talking.”

To be continued…..

John explained, “I’d rather not say right now.  You all will laugh at me.”

The girls chimed in, “No we will not! Everyone else has a theory.  Let’s hear yours.”

John looked down to the ground and tried to sound confident, “I believe in the Bible. We are fixne to celebrate Jesus Christ’s birthday.  That is what Christmas is all about.  It’s not about who can give the best gift.  It’s about giving.  That is what Christ did.  He came down and was born in a baby’s body.  That is very cool!  Then he lived his life among man until they put him to death on the cross.  But instead of being dead, dead, he paid the price for our sins so we can talk to God directly by rising from the dead and ascending back to heaven.  You see I really believe this, and you should too.

But the thing is that Satan doesn’t want God to be THE GOD.  He wants to take control even though he never made anything except chaos.  And making chaos and lying is what he is good at. But this is all spiritual. “

“Ok”, responded Mark in his Scottish accent, “We in Scotland are Christians too.  There are a lot of spiritual or ghostly things that happen in Scotland that people say are caused by bad spirits or demons.  Those spirits that work for Satan are to blame.”

John continued, “I know that a lot of things that go on are explainable without any spirit activity involved.  But I know that Satan is active and people who talk of ghosts just give him the camouflage he needs to get away with what he is doing without anyone really believing he is around.”

Tom asked, “So John, do you think is going on?”

“You know that the military secretly opening up that old military base, the talk of aliens, and terrorists, or spooky Halloween type ghosts being involved?”  John continued, “All that is wrong. I know because Satan just wants to distract us from worshiping the Christ’s birthday.”

Sasha was getting impatient and said, “Satan and ghosts – it is all the same thing.  I’m tired of this talking in circles. Be plain speaking John or stop talking!”

Well I can’t be plain speaking because I don’t exactly know what Satan is up to, but I do know it is him.  The evil spiritual forces are entering this world of ours and causing havic.”

“Ok I’m going home and imp not meeting for basketball tomorrow.  I have to go with my family and visit Old Russian families that live nearby.” And in saying that Sasha turned on her heal and left.

The girls that were talking about the military base let too.  Tom, Mark, and John started to walk home.

Mark asked, “Do you really believe all that stuff you were talking about, John?”

John responded quietly, “Yes, I really do believe.”  Nothing else was said, as they walked home in silence.

The last school week had started and all the kids were being tested.  It was not fun, but after the tests were over, Christmas break started! Two whole weeks of freedom!

The military base was actually being reopened and there were army trucks, jeeps, Humvees, and army helicopters on the move all over the village. The kids all ran out after school to see what was going on that day. Adults were even gathered in front of stores or on street corners talking about what might be happening.  The question of course was, “Why?”

Thursday was the last day of school.  Christmas was Monday.  It just seemed that the spirit of Christmas was being replaced with the talk of the army moving in.  Tom and Mark left school together and as they were walking home that feeling came over Tom again.  Mark said, “Listen to that noise!  What is it? I thought this was over because the army was here.”

Just then Sasha ran up to them, “Did you hear that noise?  Did you hear it?  Well did you?”

Mark exclaimed, “Oh yes we heard it and Tom has one of his feelings again. Let’s go get John and go to Tom’s house to talk to his Aunt. Maybe she can explain to us what is going on.”

They all agreed, got ahold of John and the four of them went to Tom’s house to talk to his Aunt. When the go there Tom’s great aunt was in the Livingroom sitting in her special chair. She was listening to a news bulletin on TV about the noise.  “I’m glad you are hear Tom.  Boys come on in.  I need to know if you are ready.” Aunt Mae just spit it out as if they all knew what she was taking about.

Tom inquired gently, “Aunt Mae, what are you talking about when you ask if we are ready?  What does that mean?”

Aunt Mae stared had him for a whole minutes, then she said, “I know two of you are from other countries. Both of you should understand me.”

Sasha and Mark just looked at each other and shook their heads no.  Tom said to his aunt, “I’m sorry Aunt Mae, but we really have no idea of what’s going on or what you mean by if we are ready. Could you please just tell us?”

“All right,” she said, “you must be too young or don’t know your history very well. Settle in, now.”

Aunt Mae settle in her chair herself and began, “Hundreds of years ago there was a favored man in God’s eyes.  He had two sons.  One son was chosen by God but the other one was born to be argumentative. Both sons had many of their own children, worshiped God, and loved their father. The father was asked to sacrifice his son for his God and was going to do it. At the last minute God stopped the father and loved the father all the more.

Once some time had passed the generations after the argumentative son became unruly. They did what they wanted and ignored God’s will.  These people, over time, still worshiped a god, but it was no longer The God.  Instead they followed their own god, who was actually Satan. This great people thought they were worshiping The God in their own ways.  They even had prophets, but they were not The God’s people anymore.

At the same time the other son’s family grew to a nation and becomes disobedient too.  There were many that still followed The God.  So over time, God sent them his son to live as a man and to die as a man.

Aunt Mae took a drink of water. You see that father was willing to sacrifice his son and The God was willing to do the same to make things right between Him and His people.  That son was named Jesus and it is who we celebrate at Christmas and Easter.  You too from the old country learned of this before we did in the Americas.  The group of people that descended from the argumentative son are the ones that stir up all this bombing and such now. So the question is are you ready?”

John asked the next question, “Ready for what?”

Aunt Mae just mumbled, “Are you ready? “falling asleep in her chair.

To be continued…….finished next week!!!!!!!!!!!

What is wrong and what is right?

Well it is school time again and Tom thought it was great.  He told his friends, “Christmas is the best season!  You get to do all these different things, and get two whole weeks off from school!”

John, the clumsy one, stood there listening. He was shifting his weight on his feet back and forth, side to side.  Up from behind cam Sasha. She bumped right into John on purpose saying, “Hi, guys. Did you have a good Thanksgiving?  I certainly did. Have a good day!  See you latter Tom, John, and …the Markster. Ha! Ha! Ha!” Off Sasha went to go to class.

Mark said to his friends, “That girl can play ball, but she certainly is a weird girl.”

The other two shook their heads and said, “Let’s just go to class.”  Each one went to their classes.

When school was over the three started to walk home and Sasha ran up to join them.  She whispered to them, “Hey, stop a minute.  I was talking to some kids today and they told me that they heard a noise last week.  It was really strange.  It sounded like nothing they ever heard and it made them feel really weird.  Have you guys heard it?”

John and Mark said together, “What are you talking about?”

Sasha responded sharply, “Can’t you hear or understand English!  I’m taking about something that we don’t understand.  A noise and a feeling that is just not normal!”

Tom chirped in, “Actually I had a feeling that I didn’t understand. AND my great aunt had the same feeling, I think.  She told me she was ready. Ready for what I’d like to know!”

John and Mark all looked at him as if you was really out in space. Sasha did not, but just stated as if it were a well-known fact, “ I know what you are talking about, Tom.  This feeling everyone is having happened at the same time.  And that noise was heard only by a few, but it was at the same time too.  Your Aunt probable is more aware because she is so very old!  What are we to do?  I think it is all about alien from outer space walking among us and we can’t see them because they don’t want us to.”

John added, “No Sasha, you are dead wrong.  These feelings and the noise are just a part of a government undercover operation, to secretly find terrorist sympathizers amongst us.  That is what is going on.”

Tom and Sasha looked at John and both said together, “What are you talking about!”

Tom added, “You must be off your rocker, really!”

Sasha shouted at John, “This has nothing to do with the government or anything else of this earth.  Don’t you get it, it is creatures from out of space spying on us!”

Now John cleared his voice and said very softly, “I know what is going on.” Everyone just stopped talking and stared at him.  “If you read the Bible you become more sensitive to the activities of the spirit world.  This is the Christmas season.  People all over the world are celebrating Jesus’s birthday if the realize it or not.  That means that the bad spirits are all around us trying to spoil everything for us who believe.”

Tom cried out, “No, stop, this is stupid!  You are all really of the deep end.  Listen to yourselves!  I’m going home now and don’t want to hear any of this nonsense anymore!”  With that Tom got all his stuff, turned his back on his friends, and walked briskly home thinking, I thought I was crazy with getting that feeling, but my friends are really out there like Pluto!  Really, really out there!

Wednesday, November 25, 2015

Well the next day the weather changed.  Weather likes to play games.  One minute it is sunny and the next the wind is blowing from the north and it rains.  Better than snow I guess for this time of year, but Tom went to meet up with John and Mark to play ball.  He had his basketball and a jacket and went out anyway.  Things were great!  Thanksgiving was that week and school was only two days next week. Tom’s sisters were busy so he did not have to deal with them.

Tom meet up with Mark and John. They went to the park to play ball. John was the tallest of the three, but he was kind of clumsy. Mark was not short but not very tall either, but he sure could hook that ball up and in.  It must have been an hour or so that the drizzle of rain stopped.  That is when they saw Sasha walking down the side walk. The guys did not really care on way or anther, so when she asked to play they said yes.  They told Sasha to play with Mark to even the odds and played two on two.  Well it seems that Sasha should have some kind of nick name because she was fast! She never dropped the ball and she made as many baskets as she missed.  So much for evening up the odds.

They took a break and then asked each other what their holiday plans were.  Mark did not know, John was going out of town to his grandparent’s place in the country. Tom was staying at home and the uncles, aunts, cousins were coming over to his house.  All his grandparents went to heaven. He did have one great-aunt that was 95 or so.

After playing some more ball in the rain, they got too cold so the three boys went home. When Tom walked up to his house there was a weird van outside his house.  He ran up to see what was going on.  Well it was Aunt Mae.  Tom asked his dad what was the deal and his father said, “Your Great-Aunt Mae had to come a day early.  She can’t sit in a regular car anymore.  Look in the Livingroom.  She brought her special chair to sit in. We are making up the indoor patio room up as her bedroom while she is here.  She can’t climb the stairs. Now Tim, be patient with her, remember she is 98 years old.”

Tom went to say hi and Aunt Mae was just as talkative as ever.  She had lost a lot of weight and looked really weak. There was a nurse with her that was going to drop by daily to see to her medicines and such.  This was going to be strange.  When Aunt Mae saw Tom she motioned him to come over.  He did, of course, and bent down to her level.  She whispered in Tim’s ear, “Lot’s going on this year.  Did you get that feeling a day or so back?  I sure did and I’m getting ready!”

Tom asked his aunt, “Ready for what.” Aunt Mae never answered him.  She was already asking for a cup of tea and a biscuit.  Some things never change.

What is wrong and what is right?

Well now, when his parents got home they keep the girls in their rooms.  It was a quiet night.  We go to eat in peace.  Mom made a beef stew that was de..licious.  Dad. Mom and I watched a baseball game while we enjoyed the calm evening.  I went to bed and read my favorite adventure book falling to sleep to the running and panting that I heard in my head as my hero ran for his life.  My dreams were of climbing trees and make race cars. Perfecto!

The next morning I did not see my sisters.  You see the oldest on is a sophomore in high school.  She starts school early.  The other sister is in middle school and has the same start time, but she had volleyball practice before school.  Both were long gone by time I made my way downstairs.

The walk to school was uneventful.  I joined up with a couple of my buds and we just messed around with each other. It was uneventful and that weird feeling did not come to me once!

School was alright. Math and Science classes were fun, but English was a major pain.  I just don’t get why I have to learn this stuff.  After school I went to my locker to grab my jacket and saw somebody new right next to me having a hard time with her locker.  Of course I asked to help, and she accepted.  As we walked out the front door together I found out she lived one block south of me.  Then we meet up with my two buds.  I introduced them, “Sasha  this is Mark and John.  The live near to the both of us.”

Sasha said, “Hi, how long have you lived here?”

Mark answered, “Oh we have been calling this neighborhood home for 10 years, ever since my Dad came back from Scotland.  I was born in Scotland.”

Sasha asked, “Well how about you too?”

I responded for both of us because John was too busy looking down at the dirt, “We both have lived here all our lives.  Where do you call home?”

Sasha responded quietly, I come from Mother Russia.”

Mark broke out, “You really still call it Mother Russia after all those countries left Russia!”

‘Of course I do!  Russia is my homeland and I miss it very much.”

“So then why did you come to America, to this small town?” John asked all by himself!

Sasha said, “Both my parents have work here, in your chemical research lab of some company. I had no choice.”

The boys started to goof off as usual and Sasha just joined in as if she was always their friend.

It was kind nice.  As we they went their separate ways to go home, Sasha turned around and said to the three boys, “Maybe I will see you in mornig, good?”

We all said, “Sounds good to us!”

What is wrong and what is right?

One day a young boy named Tom went to school, as usual.  He felt a dark heaviness all around him, but could not figure out where this feeling was coming from.

As Tom walked home, the same feeling followed him.  When he walked into his house, his sisters were fighting.  He had to duck as they were throwing things at each other; they were breaking things.  Mom and Dad were going to be really mad! Both these sisters were older than him, but he felt that he had to do something.  So with all his courage and volume he could muster he said, "You two stop this right now.  Go to your rooms and don't come out until you can talk to each other in a civil manner!"

To Tom's surprise they stopped throwing things and yelling.  Both sisters went to their rooms.

Now Tom did not know what to do.  He still felt that heaviness around him.  Tom thought, I wonder if that same feeling is what made his sisters fight so hard.

He went to his room to wait for his parents to come home.

Bammer the Man

Bammer is the man, a cute boy.

Give him a ball or a pool,

A smiling, giggling, nutty, contriving jokester,

But full of love and forgiveness; full of sweetness he is.

A good friend to all, usually considerate,

Smart as a button and busy as a bee, always a player he is.

Bammer, Bammer, Bammer, that is your super hero name.

Being a gentleman and a strong man is normal for you.

I love you, so special are you to me that is my claim!

My sweetie pie, you are a special type of guy.

A pill you are, but there’s more to see; now go grab your fame.

The Hug from Behind in the Dark!

Donald was walking down his street. He felt ghostly arms give him a tight hug.  Then he felt damp and shivered from a cold chill that ran through his body.  Howling and yowling a black cat jumped in front of Donald giving him a fright.

The air cleared and the moon shined brightly down on Donald.   He felt creepy, like something was lurking behind him.  It took a while to get the courage, but Donald turned to see if anyone was there.

Quiet as a mouse was his shadow just as it should be.  Suddenly it grew large; its hair went out of control. The shadow raised its arms and hands up high.  Loudly it said, “Boo”

Donald ran all the way home.

Do You Understand?

Crossing a deserted street there was two cats.  One was black with brilliant green eyes.  The other was bright green with deep black eyes.

Coming from the other direction was two ladies and a boy.  They were taking a shortcut home from the corner store.  As they saw these cats they slowing stopped walking.  The boy sarcastically said, “Look Mom at these cats.  Aren’t they cute?  I’m going to chase them.”

The boy’s mother told him to stop, but he was already yards away.  The other lady stood back as the mom ran after her child.

As the boy got closer he could see more cats coming to join the two.  He ran into all of them to scare them into a run.  He thought, what fun this is!  His mother didn’t know what to do.  She knew this was not right, but she also feared for her son’s safety.

The lady that stayed back from all of this put up her pointer figure in the air and circled it around.  As she did this, the cats stopped running.  They encircled the boy and his mom, meowing, staring, and waving their tails.  The cats thought that this was fun, scaring this mean boy.  The boy shouted in a nasty tone at the cats, “You can’t get me, you are only a bunch of cats!”

The mother tried to protect her son. She tried to keep her son quiet. She tried to talk soothing to the cats to calm them down. After nothing she did worked she told her son to get down on his knees and hold his head in his lap as she was doing.  Then she started to make motions like she was a cat herself.  Her boy looked at her like she was crazy.  He was still standing.  A cat from the back came forward and looked at the mother with interest.  This cat had tiger markings and pressed up against the mother.  The mother then turned slowly into a cat. She looked up to the lady down the street.

The lady now twirled herself into a tumble weed and rolled down toward the cats.  She rolled right and left as if playing with the cats.  The cats started to play back, including the mother, (who now was a cat). Now the whole street was in confusion, and still the boy just stood there.

Out of nowhere a dead tree rolled into the road. All the cats jumped on this dead tree.  The lady became herself again and twitched her nose as she waved her hand.  Up the dead tree rose into the air and then flew off into the sky.  The lady went over to the boy and asked if he was alright.  He said he was not sure.

The lady told the boy, “Make sure you think about the consequences of your actions before you do anything.”

The boy asked, “Will my Mom be all right?”

The lady responded, “Of course she will.  I hope you like cats now!”  Over to the boy came the mother meowing and crying to the boy to pick her up and pet her.

The lady said, “How quickly life can change.” She then floated off to join the cats on the dead tree.

The boy was left standing in the road with this huge cat that was once his mother.  He said, “I’m sorry.  I will take care of you.”  He picked his mother up and walked home.

It Is All in The Wrist.

At school the teacher told her students to draw a picture that reminded them of Halloween.  Some kids drew witches and others drew vampires.  Still others drew Scooby Doo and others drew an old creepy house with ghosts flying in and out of the windows.

Janice drew something different.  She drew a monster with pink and purple hair.  The monster had long eye lashes and big red lips.  Janice then drew a pet for the monster.  She drew a cute little dog that wore an orange “dress”.

Janice not decided to sneak a snack out of her desk.  It was a giant sugar cookie that was decorated like a pumpkin. She had another cookie just like it and put it on her desk as she was eating the first one.

Wait one minute, Janice thought, where did my cookie go.  As she looked around she saw the hand of the monster that she had drew going back into the picture with the cookie.  Janice grabbed the cookie tried to pull it back.  Then the cute dog grew into a monster dog with hug teeth.  He snapped at Janice.

Janice just had no chose at all. She grabbed her big eraser and erased them both.  Now she could eat her second cookie in peace.

What on earth are you looking at?

The park is always a fun place to be with friends.  Older kids here on the swings and couldn’t help but notice some 8 year olds standing by a tree looking down at the ground.   The older kids got off the swings and went over to look; they saw them too!  The some parents came by to pick up their kids and also went over to the group by the tree.

What did they all see? One pair of feet had long dirty nails, and hair all over. Another pair of feet had short nails on its toes.  The toes were purple and swollen as if they had been pounded.  NO hair could be seen and the skin was whiter than white.

The third pair of feet had long wide solid and white nails.  They were attached to a reptile like foot with scales and open, blisters that were oozing with a green substance.

A police officer drove up and got out of his car.  He walked over and asked everyone to stand back.  He took a long hard look at these feet.  Then he reported it in on his radio.  As he took out his weapon.  It was a small cage.

The police officer as everyone to stand back and put the cage on the ground by the feet.  He then opened its door.

Screeching, growling, a go-lup could be heard as the trees rustled and all three pair of feet disappeared.

Now the police officer turned to the crowd and said, “It works every time!”  Then he crouched by the cage putting in it a piece of cheese that had been in his pocket.  This little tiny, gray mouse. ran into the cage to enjoy her reward.  The policeman closed the cage; went back to his car; he drove off.

Question:  Whose feet were under the tree?

What Didn’t We See?

The wind was blowing, howling; dogs were barking; cats were meowing.  Everyone saw the white sheet moving towards the grocery store’s door.  Everyone stepped back to get out of it’s way, bewildered of what they saw.

As the white sheet entered the store the cans rattled on the shelves.  The boxes danced and the soda pop exploded.  In the meat department the knives flew in the air going all which way.  The crunch, crunch was heard from aisle 6.  Those that had the courage to look saw the sheet appear as if it was facing an entity eating potato chips. The chips were crunched up in the air and then dropped in a pile onto the floor.

As of the entity gained strength from the chips, it started to take form.  As skeleton formed first the head then to its feet. Long hair grew, followed by long dirty nails.  It then walked over to get a coke.

The white sheet followed it.  As the entity drank a coke it saw its reflection in the glass door.  Startled by its reflection, it jumped; spilling its coke all over itself.  Grabbing the white sheet, it cleaned itself off head to toe.

All now that could be seen is the dirty sheet on the floor.  The grocery store’s door opened and out went a gentle breeze that smelt of chips and coke.

No one could be seen leaving the store!!!

A Fall Adventure
The trees where turning bright colors, but the rain knocked them down to the ground as quickly as they appeared.
Kaylyn went for a walk with a friend.  They like walking in wooded areas in parks or on the streets. It seems dreary to others, but they enjoy the dampness.
But Kaylyn and her friend forgot that it gets dark latter now.  The sun sets sooner every day.  Now it is dark, and they are 30 minutes from home.  The wind was starting to blow stronger and you could just tell it was going to rain hard. Things are not so fun anymore.
Then it happens.  A stranger drives up and offers them a ride.  The driver looks like a mother and the passenger her husband.  While talking to them Kaylyn finds out that the passenger is a brother of the driver and that they both like certain websites on this Fall season.  Kaylyn lets her guard down and tries to talk her friend to take the ride home.
Her friend is not so confident with these people.  She does not know them except from what they said about themselves.  This is not reliable.   She starts to walk off, urging Kaylyn to come along.
Kaylyn is reluctant to take that dark walk home, but she goes with her friend.  Kaylyn is very careful to say thank you for the ride, but they need to stay on the path their parents know them to be on. Just then, Kaylyn's mom stops to pick them up and take them home in her car.
The next day in the news there was an Amber Alert story about a boy and a girl that was out in the same neighborhood walking a dog. The two kids had been walking and never reached home.  Teams of people were our searching for them.  Kaylyn then told her parents about the people that stopped to give them a ride.
Her parents called the police and soon Kaylyn and her friend were giving a description of the man and woman in the car as best they could.  Now the Amber Alert included the description of this couple and their car.
Kaylyn felt sad that these other two kids got taken. She felt oddly guilty.  Her parent sat down and told her she did the right thing to listen to her friend.  That if they hadn’t kept walking, they would be the ones taken. But Kaylyn felt responsible in some way.  She should have said something to an adult while she could still see the car.  Run up to a door of a nearby house, or call on her phone.
Soon her friend was done talking to the police and came and sat next to Kaylyn.  Kaylyn confessed to her friend how she was feeling.  Her friend told her that she was glad that Kaylyn had listened to her last night. She said they were kids, how were they to know if there would be any further consequences that night. Kaylyn responded that they need to look beyond themselves.
Then everyone got excited.  Near the neighborhood there was a field with brush and trees.  The kids where found there hidden.  Both were badly beaten. The girl was messed up bad and the boy had had his own experience. Both were bleeding, brushed, and silently crying. The ambulances where there in seconds and now the police had further description of the two who had done this. The dog was found dead nearby. All the adults were both happy and scared for the two kids. It would take a long time for them to recover from this terrible experience.
At school, the police came to talk to everyone.  Warning them to always be on guard; always be aware of their surroundings and have a plan to scream and run whenever they felt threated. The trick of course is to know if you are being threated.
After school the kids that walked home all came together and said a prayer. “Dear Lord, we know everyone in this world do not love you or follow your laws.  Please help us look for your guidance, receive your protection, and have the wisdom to act on your direction. Please be with our fellow students that need healing. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.”
From then on all the kids walked with a spring in their step, a watchful eye, and did not get distracted off their route without checking in with their parents first.  This was a good thing.
The weather was mild, the wind softly blew the leaves around, and the trees made a gentle rustling noise, but the feeling of Fall was lost.  It is said how one decision can change your life for the better or for the good.  You can’t take it back and do a ‘redo’. This is why it is always a smart thing to allow God to have your back.  What better protector could you have?  Bad things happen but God always keeps you in his loving arms when you ask Him to.

Have you ever thought of where you would like to go see.  What would you like to do for fun.  What would you like to do to honor God.  Let's get started.

What can we experience?

I love the mountains.  They are so high!  Some have trees growing all different colors of green. Others are dry and have brush and rock only. Then again some are so tall that there is always snow and the air is thin (not enough oxygen for us to breath well).  Some are volcanos that have a lake  of fire water (lava) moving about so very far under the ground.

I love forests and woods.  There are not cars, or music, or any other sounds at all but those that come from the wooded area you are in. You discover animal, bugs, flowers, trees, shadows, hidden paths that you would not see if you never ventured into the secret place.

I love the water, salt or spring feed.  It is so much fun to swim, play in the waves, go down a water slide, play water games, and make a sand castle that the water comes in and around with every wave. I love tubing in the rivers or being pulled behind a boat. Just riding in a boat and feel the waves hit you in the face or just relaxing hearing the gentle flow of the water pushing up against the boat.

I love the rain. Rain makes everything come alive.  The sound of a gentle rain is so relaxing. The spiking hard rain of a storm with wind that can move you. The light and sound show is so full of wonder and the hard wind is fun to walk in.  Just stand still and not move at all; I bet you can't.

I love night. I love the moon light, so mysterious; the sounds of the crickets and the stillness that comes from many creatures fast asleep.

I love the day.  When the sun warms your skin and activities outdoors are liberating. Or in winter the everyday is a new world to wake up to.  Is it raining? Is it snowing? Is it an ice storm? The clouds move so gracefully; to watch them you can make up a whole imaginary world of your own. Do we have to go to school today?

I love fire.  It dances and just takes over you mind in a way that nothing else can.  It also warms you on those really cold days.

These are a few of the things that spark ideas and sooths my spirit.  It is a great to enjoy God's hand work of creation personally.  It put you in awe of God's imagination and creativity and power.

But never forget that this is earth and not heaven so for each of these wonders there are things to be careful about. In the mountains you could fall badly or get frost bite. In the forest and woods you could get lost or walk into a poisons snake. In the water the currents could pull you under or you could get caught by a strong wave. The rain can become a storm where lighting, wind, and flooding becomes very dangerous. The night can be scaring.  You could get lost, or fall because you can't see where your feet are stepping. The day can be too hot. You can get sick, sunburned, wind burned, or dehydrated. Fire is just as scaring as it is beautiful.  It can burn and destroy just about anything, if left uncontrolled.

There is good and bad in all things.  This world is not heaven  We can honor our God by treating it with Godly wisdom and the respect it deservers . Then this world can be a awesome experience to live in. But moderation and wisdom must always be present.  And never forget that other's lives do not have what you have.  We all live the life we are born to, but we can always become what ever God puts in our hearts that we want to be.  Follow your dreams and see what happens.

The whole story with minor changes.  Still looking for a title.  Give me your ideas at d.scozzari@yahoo.com

CHAPTER ONE

The sun was not quite up yet.  There were shadows all over from the little bit of moon light left in the sky. Sara, the owl, was flying around for her last sweep of the area for some food before nesting in her tree when she saw it!

Sitting together in awe was Anabella, the fox, Corrina, the tiger, and Lillian, the black bear.  What they were all looking at was this flare, like fire, coming right out of a hole in the ground.  The flare wavered as fire does and would stretch up high in the air at times.

Everyone was uncomfortable with this flare and yet they did not leave but surrounded it.  After all a fox, a tiger, and a bear were rare companions.  In fact, they were not companions at all! Each kept its distance from the others, being ready to pounce or run away.  The flare mesmerized them in such a way that the power to look into the fire was stronger than the power to depart.

It looked as though an entity was appearing in the flare.  To Corrina it looked like a tiger.  To Anabella the entity looked like a fox.  To Lillian it looked like a vaporous black hole.

No one but Sara, who was now perched in a tree, saw the icy cold water nearby wave up and show a partial head; two ears and two eyes staring at the flare from the water.  If you looked closely enough Sara could see a black wet nose, but she could not tell if it belonged to the ears and eyes.

Anabella and Corrina began to get upset with each other.  Shoving, pushing, and growling.  It was not long before Anabella ended up in the water.  When she emerged not only was she shaking wet but she had an addition to her head. Cold and slimy, the creature was hanging on so not to fall.  But fall it did, right into the fire. Burned, the creature yelled in anguish. Anabella smelled the burned thick skin and thought it would taste really good, but for some reason she did not act on that.  Instead she carried the creature by its neck in her mouth back to the cold water to try to decrease its pain.

The seal said, “I am Dianna. This flare has increased and I am fearful of it. I live in the water with my family of seals, but this flare, even though it stays on out of the water, it has a power.”

Lillian coward over the whole scene.  She did not know what to do. Maybe, she thought, she should just run away. The little black bear climbed up a tree to put some distance away from her and the flame.

Sarah screeched “What is that coming this way?”  It made Lillian jump and almost fall out of the tree. For the first time the other animals saw that the owl was perch above them.

CHAPTER TWO

Bounding out of the snowy tree line came a massive white creature that had the power to swat them and do them harm.  But Annie the polar bear did nothing but to stare at that same flare that seemed to call to them all.

After some silence, Lillian called to Annie, from the tree she found a haven in, “Is that flare not too hot for you?  You are a creature of this tundra.”

Annie replied, “Yes, it is hot, just like it was to that seal that I would love to eat.”

Dianna squirmed deeper into the water, “What did it say? Does it want to eat me?”

That was when a wolf emerged from the brush that lay around the flare. She announced to the others abruptly, making them all jump, “Why are you all here?  This is my territory! Julissa is my name and you are not welcome!  Why did you bring this strange spectacle to my home? “

“It has nothing to do with you!” sounded off Lillian from her safe perch in the tree, “Or did you create this flare to scare off travelers?  You must be responsible as it is YOUR TERRITORY!”

Julissa responded strongly, “It is not; you are wrong in your accusation Miss ball of black fur.”

Annabella started to bounce around nervously, “Why did you create such a flare?  Maybe you wanted to start a fight for your amusement among other animals?”

Annie roared out so loud, everyone else held their ears, “You do not want to start a fight with me. I the biggest and strongest of us here.”

Responding in kind, Julissa said, “You may be the biggest and strongest but wolves are fast and strong in numbers.  My pack will be here soon. You had better be careful of what you say in your arrogance!’

CHAPTER THREE

It was too late in the day for Sara to get involved in this nonsense. She went to sleep in the tree as she did every day.  Lillian stayed hanging on to the tree she had climbed. Dianna stayed alert in the water, keeping an eye on the mysterious flare, and the Polar Bear. Finally, after pacing about around the flare, and each other, Corrina and Anabella settled down far from the others.

Julissa, however, stood listening and watching and waiting.  She was deciding what to do.  She, as a wolf, could take on the fox, eat the seal, and scare the black bear in the tree.  But Annie and Corrina would definitely be a problem.  Besides, what was this flare in the middle of nowhere?  It puzzled her?

It was many hours later that the flare started to dance in the wind.  Getting stronger it roared in it power of heat and gas.  Out of this flare now the animals started to see an image of a young man. His hair was made of fire. His hands were made of fire, as well. He began to mourn.  Every time this creature’s mouth made a sound the flare would soar up higher into the sky.

All this noise and light woke up Sara from her deep sleep.  She turned her face toward the flare and asked, “Who are you?”

The fire man could not answer but continued to moan as if it was in pain. As the man’s wailing became louder and he became more agitated. The flare reached the tree tops and actually started an old dead branch on fire.

This made Lillian jump down from the tree, as she did not feel safe there anymore.  But she didn’t feel safe on the ground either as she landed right on top of Corrina. The tiger took a snap at her and actually got a mouth full of black fur.

CHAPTER FOUR

Sara said, “We can’t keep going on like this.  Either we all move on and leave this creature of the earth alone or we try to talk to it.”

At that moment Dianna had something to say.  Everyone had forgotten about the seal in the water, as she was mostly submerged, quietly in the dark icy water.  “What if this flare means no harm to us at all?  None of us get along, we are mostly enemies.  There is no trust between us.  That does not mean that this is the way of this, this, Fire Prince.”

“Fire Prince?  You are taking liberties seal of the water giving it a name.  I am a tiger and can overcome all foes,” Corrina retorted.

Firmly Annie stated, “But I am the strongest and biggest here.  No one can brag of might more than me.”

Julissa just had to interject, “If this is a contest, I would surely win.  My will is not to be denied.”

As they argued amongst themselves the flare became larger as the Fire Prince’s moans and groans vibrated the ground. Annie hid behind Julissa and Anabella started to pace again.  In her agitation she miss stepped and come in contact with the flare.  Burning her foot, put it in the cool water to nurse it.

Some more dead branches and brush caught on fire. Now there was fire everywhere!  Or it surly seemed so. Corrina started to move around like a caged tiger, feeling trapped by the fire surrounding them.

CHAPTER FIVE

“It is up to me.”, Dianna softly said. No one heard her but Sara.

Sara asked, “What do you think you can do?”

“It is up to me, I am the one. I am the one.”

With that, Dianna pulled herself on to the shore and started to whisper to the Fire Prince in a soothing manner. As she did the flare became smaller.  Soon the other animals stopped acting defiantly with each other. It was Dianna they watched.

Being impatient Corrina roared, “What is going on here?  I am tired of this!”

In reaction to Corrina the Fire Prince ignited into a hug fire, burning onto it self, and became so large that even the tall trees seemed small.  Flames came out of his eyes and the heat of his fire grew so hot it singed everyone’s hair or feathers.

“Be quiet you foolish tiger.” Diana demanded.  “The Fire Prince does not want to harm you, but you scare it with your noise and sudden movements! Please be quiet and calm.”

As Diana went closer to the Fire Prince, the fires went out around them. The flare decreased in size.  It became so small you could see the crack in the earth that the flame was coming from.  Sara flew over it and saw the actual rock under the ground burning so hot it was orange yellow in color.

She quietly said, “The rock is alive, moving as a body of water flowing down a mountain.  It is very much alive!”

“The poor thing has not where to go.”  Diana said sadly.

“Poor thing, I don’t think this is a poor thing as it is made up of heat and can grow at will.” voiced Julissa.

“I will go.” Diana stated.

“You will go where?” everyone responded in sync.

Diana explained, “He is trapped inside this rock we stand on and cannot move on through the cracks far underneath the ground. I am wet and cold to the touch.  I will cool the Fire Prince down so he can travel through the cracks and move on.”

“But you will never come back”, shouted Lillian.

Dianna exclaimed, “I would be a meal to most of you had things been different! What do you care what I do? There is a resolve building in me to do this for him. I cannot explain it, but it is compelling.”

“But it will hurt!” Lillian cried.

“It would seem this is what I am meant to do.” Dianna said as she went into the crack that the Fire Prince came from.

CHAPTER SIX

It was all over.  The Fire Prince disappeared.  Dianna disappeared.  The ground slowly filled in with dirt so there was nothing to see. The big and cleaver animals all just stood in awe that a helpless seal could act is such a way.  They pondered it.  One by one each went their way.  First to leave was Julissa.  Then Anabella bounced off.  Next to go was Annie, as Corrina went in the other direction.  All was left was Sara and Lillian. Sara flew down to the ground and said, “It is puzzling why Diana did what she did.”

Lillian replied, “She was happy to give her life.  Maybe she did not give her life, but became a part of the hot flowing rock?”

As the owl and black bear moved on, Sara looked down into the cold water that once was Diana’s home.  In the water she saw an image of a Prince playing in the water, no longer in trapped, but free to move at will.
